Terms & Conditions
We do our best to provide accurate and up-to-date information on our website, but errors may occur. Please confirm pricing and details with us prior to making a booking.
By making travel bookings on our website or with one of our agents, or otherwise purchasing any travel services offered by pause and be travel, you warrant that
If you make a booking for anyone other than yourself, you are considered the designated contact person for those other travelers. You represent and warrant that you are legally authorized to act on their behalf; that you have obtained all required consents; and that you will inform them of these Terms and warrant that they accept and agree to them. You are also responsible for making all payments due for your booking; notifying us if any changes or cancellations are required; and keeping the other travelers informed of all information relevant to your trip.
CONFIRMATION:After we receive your booking and payment, we will confirm availability of all components and send you a confirmation email within 1–2 business days. If any option or component you selected is not available, we will alert you and give you the option to modify your booking or to cancel and receive a refund of your deposit.
From the time of your booking confirmation until your final payment, your price may only be changed if:
Once your booking is fully paid, the package price will not change, unless:
You may enter special meal requests or dietary restrictions for each traveler when you complete your registration. We will relay your requests to the tour operator and our partners in destination. Please confirm meal requests with us by 1 week before departure. We cannot guarantee that your requests will be honored, and some requests or restrictions may be difficult to accommodate in some destinations.
PRICES:Advertised prices reflect our total price, and some may vary based on the dates, flights, hotels, activities, and other options you select when you book. These prices do not include optional excursions or other additional items unless otherwise noted.
We may offer price reductions, sale discounts, or other promotional discounts on certain packages, departures, or services. Such discounts are valid for a limited time, only apply to new bookings, and may have other conditions or limitations. Existing bookings for which a deposit has been received are not entitled to price reductions or discounts that were not valid at the time of booking.
Prices and availability are subject to change until you make a booking and that booking is confirmed and the payment is made successfully. After that, your package price will not change, with some exceptions listed under Confirmation.
All advertised prices and costs are in U.S. currency, unless noted otherwise.
Payments, Refunds & Credits
All sales are final.
PAYMENT METHODS:We accept payments towards your deposit or balance due by the following methods:
We do not accept any other forms of payment. Payments must be made in THB currency or a conversion fee may apply.
Refunds:Refunds will be processed and paid as promptly as possible. If we need to recover funds already paid to our partners for your services, your refund will be issued after those funds have been recovered. Most refunds are processed within six weeks of being requested. Refunds for payments by credit card will be credited to that card, provided your refund does not exceed the amount paid on the card. Otherwise, your refund will be issued by check.
CHANGING YOUR PACKAGE OR DEPARTURE: At Pause & Be Travel, all sales are final, and we do not allow changes or cancellations under any circumstances. However, if you contact us directly, we will do our best to accommodate your request to change the date or package. Please note that this is not guaranteed and remains subject to our policies. If changes are possible, any fees charged by third parties—such as transfer companies, hotels, or banking services—will be the responsibility of the customer. Refunds and adjustments will be processed in Thai Baht (THB), and any fluctuations in currency exchange rates on the day of the transaction are beyond our control. Customers acknowledge and accept full responsibility for any impact caused by such fluctuations and charges before finalizing any changes.
CUSTOMIZATIONS:Requests for significant changes to our tours or packages—particularly those involving flights and transport—are considered customizations. This includes upgrading your flight or cabin, departing and/or returning to a different city, modifying your travel dates, adding or changing destinations, or combining two packages.
We provide quotes for customizations only after you have made a booking and paid a deposit. We will research the best options and send you a quote, including a tentative flight and transport schedule (if relevant), typically within 7 business days.
Quotes are valid for a limited time. Once you accept a quote, we will add the amount to your balance due. Some customizations may require immediate payment. Once a change or customization has been quoted, accepted, and confirmed, it will generally be subject to the same cancellation policy that applies to your package.
For customizations involving certain tours, flights, or transport, quoted prices cannot be guaranteed until tickets or arrangements are issued by third parties, transport companies, or airlines. In such cases, you can choose to pay the cost of the changes immediately to lock in your tours, transport fare, or tickets. Once issued, these arrangements are subject to the applicable policies of the tours, transport providers, or airlines and are generally nonrefundable and nonchangeable.
EXTENDED STAYS:On some packages, you may be able to extend your stay by departing after the scheduled dates. We can arrange modified tours and flight dates, extra hotel nights, and/or transfers, subject to availability and other restrictions.
CHANGE FEES:Any fees associated with changes—such as those charged by transfer companies, hotels, flights, or other third parties—will be the responsibility of the customer. If the requested changes are not possible, the previously booked tours, transport, flights, and hotels will remain as originally selected by the customer at the time of booking. Customers accept full responsibility for any fees or impacts resulting from their request to make changes, even if those changes cannot be accommodated.
NAME CHANGES:Due to our policies, government and airline requirements, you must provide the full names of all travelers—exactly as they appear on their passports—including titles (e.g., Jr., Sr.) and any multiple first, middle, or last names. These details are typically entered on our registration form.
After submitting the registration form, any name changes (due to errors, marriage, or other reasons) must be reported to us immediately. Please note that such changes may not be possible. Any errors not corrected prior to travel could prevent you from boarding your flights, entering tours, staying at hotels, or gaining entry to certain countries. In such cases, you may be required to purchase new airfare or make other costly arrangements.
AIRLINE & OTHER VENDOR FEES:In addition to the change fees charged by Pause & Be Travel, changes or customizations may incur additional fares, fees, or penalties from our vendors, particularly airlines and other third-party partners. When you request a change, the quote we provide will include these charges.
If your tour or package includes flights, or if you have added flights to your booking, please note that once flight tickets are issued, they are governed by the policies of the airline or other vendors. These tickets are generally nonchangeable and nonrefundable.
Any requested changes affecting your tours, transport, or flights—including changes to traveler names, airports, departure dates, or return dates—after tickets are issued will typically require the payment of additional fees imposed by these parties or the purchase of a new ticket, transport, or airfare. Any such costs will be added to your balance due.
Cancellations by You
Please note that our policies are nonrefundable under any circumstances, as stated above. If you elect to cancel your booking for any reason, you must notify us in writing. Cancellations are subject to fees that vary based on your date of booking, your date of cancellation, and the specific tour or package. Cancellation fees may change at any time, and your booking is subject to the cancellation schedule in effect at the time of booking.
When you request a cancellation, we will advise you of the total applicable fees and your total refund, if any.
If you have made a booking for two or more travelers, it is possible for one or more travelers to cancel while allowing the remaining traveler(s) to continue. In some cases, it may be possible to add a new traveler to replace the canceled traveler. If this is allowed, a name change fee will apply, along with any applicable airline and other vendor fees. Please note that all sales made on our website are final.
Cancellations by Us
Many of our advertised tours and packages require a minimum number of travelers to operate. We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule any departure due to insufficient demand, unsafe conditions, events beyond our control, or any other reason. If we cancel a departure, we will notify you in advance (unless the cancellation is due to an unforeseen situation that arises afterward) and offer alternate travel dates or a full refund (minus bank transfer and third-party fees).
We also reserve the right to cancel a specific booking or remove a specific traveler prior to departure at our discretion.
Please note that we are not responsible for any incidental expenses or consequential losses you incur as a result of a canceled booking. This includes, but is not limited to, loss of earnings, loss of enjoyment, or the cost of any connecting flights, accommodations, airport transportation, visas, document fees, vaccinations, or other services purchased in relation to the trip.
To avoid potential losses, we recommend that you either book directly through email—such as accommodations, transfers, or additional tours and packages—or wait until your trip is confirmed before arranging these independently.
Varies by package; see the "includes" list on the package page.
NOT INCLUDED:Unless otherwise noted, the following items are not included in the advertised package price for most of our packages:
Unused services cannot be refunded once the trip has begun. No refund can be made for absence by travelers from any part of the itinerary.
Some of our packages offer a "tour only" (also called "land only") option, which excludes flights to and from the destination. If you select this option, you will be responsible for arranging your own flights and transportation to the starting point of the package, unless otherwise stated on the specific tour page.
We can often arrange private airport transfers in the destination for an additional cost. If you would like to request a transfer, please contact us in advance and make the request before the final payment due date.
Please note that for "tour only" travelers, certain terms related to flights will not apply. Make sure to check the tour details for more information about what is included and excluded.
RESERVATIONS & TICKET ISSUANCE:For most packages, we issue tickets only after receiving your final payment. In certain cases, tickets may need to be issued sooner. If your package includes customizations involving flights, you may choose to pay for those flights in advance, allowing us to issue tickets earlier and secure the price.
Please note that flights generally cannot be booked more than 330 days in advance, and prices quoted for flights beyond this period may be subject to change.
Once tickets are issued, they are subject to the airline's policies and are typically nonrefundable and nonchangeable. Any changes to your flights usually require the purchase of new tickets or are subject to change fees, in accordance with the airline's rules.
AIRLINE POLICIES:When you purchase flights from us as part of a package, we act solely as a sales agent for the applicable airline. As such, flights and fares are subject to the rules and policies of the airline. While we have contracts with some airlines that provide us with special fares, cancellation policies, and ticket issuance requirements, flights we offer are generally subject to the same rules, policies, and fees that would apply if you purchased the tickets directly from the airline.
If you encounter any issues with the airline, we will do our best to assist you, but please understand that we are not responsible for the airline's policies, fees, or the service they provide. The passage contract issued by the airline, upon ticket issuance, constitutes the sole contract between the airline and the passenger.
FLIGHT SCHEDULES & CONNECTING FLIGHTS:If your booking includes flights departing from and/or returning to any destination worldwide, we will send you the flight schedule along with your e-ticket after the tickets are issued. While we do not send or post schedules in advance, approximate flight times may be included in your package itinerary.
Please be aware that airlines can change flight schedules at any time, even after flights have been confirmed and ticketed. We are not responsible for any costs resulting from changes in airline schedules, including missed connections with flights we provide. This may include, but is not limited to, fees or penalties for airfare not purchased through us, additional accommodations before, during, or after your package, and any airport transportation not booked with us.
If you decide to book your own connecting flights to and/or from a designated departure city, especially with a different carrier, it is your responsibility to allow sufficient connection time between flights, taking into account potential schedule changes and delays. We recommend a minimum of 3.5–4 hours of connecting time between flights.
To minimize the risk of changes to your departure, we advise you to book connecting flights only after the final payment due date, once your tickets have been issued, and after verifying flight times with the airline(s).
AIRPORT TAXES & FEES AND FUEL SURCHARGES:Fuel surcharges, if applicable, are included in the advertised price for any package that includes flights. However, if there are any taxes or fees that cannot be prepaid, we will notify you in advance, and you will be required to pay them directly to the local authorities at your destination.
CABIN UPGRADES:Included airfare in our packages is typically in coach or economy class. If you prefer business class or premium economy, these options may be available upon request for an additional cost.
For packages that include flights within the destination, please note that cabin upgrades are generally not available for these domestic flights.
ADVANCE SEAT RESERVATIONS:Airlines typically assign seats when you check in for your flight. If you wish to select a specific seat in advance and the airline charges a fee for this service, you must either make the request directly with the airline at the airport or, if preferred, contact us in advance to arrange the seat selection for you, with the applicable fees paid directly.
For packages that include flights within the destination, please note that advance seat reservations are generally not available for these domestic flights.
We recommend confirming any seat requests and associated fees directly with the airline to ensure a smooth and comfortable travel experience.
MILEAGE PROGRAMS:If you provide your frequent flyer or mileage award program account number at the time of booking, we will enter it into your flight record during ticketing. Please confirm with the airline at check-in to ensure that your account number has been successfully added to your reservation.
However, please note that flights included in our packages may not qualify for earning points or miles under these programs due to the specially negotiated rates we offer.
For questions regarding eligibility or the crediting of points or miles to your account, we recommend contacting the airline or the administrator of your mileage program directly.
We appreciate your understanding and encourage you to verify program details with your provider to avoid any inconvenience.
Accommodations:Our packages feature carefully selected hotels and/or boats. Advertised prices are based on standard double occupancy rooms or cabins. When booking, you can specify your preference for one or two beds per room or cabin. While we will make every effort to accommodate your request, we cannot guarantee availability.
Single or triple occupancy rooms or cabins may be requested, subject to availability and at an additional cost. Please note that special requests (e.g., bedding arrangements, smoking preferences) are also subject to availability and must be confirmed by the hotel or boat.
At least seven days prior to departure, depending on your booking time, we will provide a detailed list of all accommodations included in your package. This list will include hotel addresses, phone numbers, and email contacts.
Occasionally, it may be necessary to substitute the hotels or boats originally included in your package. In such cases, we will do our best to provide alternatives that match or exceed the quality and location of the original accommodations.
While we strive to choose upscale accommodations, please be aware that some hotels in rustic or remote areas may not have air-conditioning. However, other forms of climate control are typically available to ensure your comfort.
Any activity, transportation, meal, product, or service listed as optional and not expressly included in the itinerary or package price is classified as an optional excursion. In most cases, these options are provided by Third Party Suppliers. Some can be purchased through us at the time of booking, while others must be arranged and paid for at the destination in local currency.
Please note that we cannot guarantee the availability of optional excursions. For those paid for at the destination, we are unable to guarantee the price. If an optional excursion booked and paid for through us is unavailable, we will refund your payment for that specific excursion.
We make no warranties and expressly disclaim any liability for issues arising from participation in or the unavailability of optional excursions, including loss of enjoyment, or any information provided by us or our representatives regarding these excursions.
For a seamless experience, we recommend confirming your preferences and understanding the terms for optional excursions before finalizing your plans.
We strongly encourage all travelers to have travel insurance or equivalent coverage. Please note that certain companies may not include extreme or sports activities under their standard travel insurance policies. We recommend thoroughly researching your insurance options in advance to ensure appropriate coverage, especially before booking any activities or tours through us.
For specific activities and transfers, we do provide “accident insurance” coverage. However, this is not a substitute for comprehensive travel insurance.
For any questions related to coverage or claims, we kindly ask you to contact your insurance provider directly.
We strive to ensure that our tours and packages run smoothly and according to the posted itineraries. However, international travel is complex, and we reserve the right to modify our itineraries as necessary to ensure a comfortable experience for all travelers. Unexpected changes may occur due to circumstances beyond our control, such as pandemics, natural disasters, or other unforeseen events.
Before traveling, please refer to the latest version of your itinerary, which will be available on our website or sent to you via email at least 7 days prior to departure. While the planned itinerary reflects the intended accommodations, transport, and activities, please be aware that the actual itinerary, including routes, schedules, amenities, modes of transport, and other items, may be subject to changes or substitutions without prior notice due to circumstances on the ground or at the recommendation of our partners in the destination.
In such cases, we will make every effort to ensure that the changes provide an equivalent or better experience for our travelers. However, we will not be held liable for any damages resulting from these alterations.
In rare cases, due to circumstances beyond our control and in order to ensure the safety, comfort, and well-being of our travelers, we may need to make significant changes to our itineraries. This could include omitting certain destinations or segments of a tour, or in extreme cases, canceling a departure entirely.
If such changes occur, we will notify you as soon as reasonably possible. We will make every effort to secure refunds from our suppliers for any unused services, and these will be refunded to you. However, please note that it may not always be possible to obtain refunds from all suppliers, and we cannot guarantee a full refund of your entire package price.
FORCE MAJEURE:Certain unexpected circumstances may arise, such as (but not limited to) weather events, pandemics, quarantines, border closures, acts of governments or authorities, wars, hostilities, political uprisings or civil disturbances, riots, strikes, terrorist activities or the threat of terrorist activities, criminal acts committed by third parties, defects in vehicles or breakdowns in equipment, or other unforeseen events beyond anyone's control, which may force a cancellation or disruption of services. These circumstances are considered a force majeure.
We will not be held responsible or liable in any way for such events, including death, bodily injury, illness, damage, delay, or other losses caused by such events. While we will always strive to assist our travelers wherever they are in the world when such circumstances occur, any losses or costs resulting from these events will be the responsibility of the traveler.
THIRD PARTY SUPPLIERS:Pause & Be Travel arranges services with airlines, cruise lines, hotels, accommodation providers, coach companies, transfer operators, shore excursion providers, tour and local guides, activity providers, and other independent parties ("Third Party Suppliers") to deliver some or all of the components of your booking. These Third Party Suppliers may also use local operators and sub-contractors to fulfill their obligations.
While we take great care in selecting Third Party Suppliers, we do not supervise or control their operations and cannot be held responsible for their actions or omissions.
In the absence of our own negligence, we shall not be responsible for any cancellations, delays, diversions, or substitution of equipment; loss or damage to baggage or property; injury, illness, or death; or any claims, losses, damages, costs, or expenses arising from inconvenience, loss of enjoyment, upset, disappointment, distress, or frustration—whether physical or mental—resulting from any act, omission, error, or negligence by air carriers, rail, coach, or ship cruise companies, hotels, transportation companies, or other third-party service providers, or any other person not directly employed by us or under our exclusive control.
Air carriers, rail, coach, and ship cruise companies are not responsible for any acts, omissions, or events occurring when passengers are not aboard their aircraft or conveyances. We are also not liable for any criminal conduct by third parties.
The international carriage of passengers is governed by international conventions and treaties, where applicable. These agreements may limit, and in some cases exclude, the carrier's liability to travelers.
In the event that a claim or part of a claim (including those involving death or personal injury) concerns or involves any travel arrangements (including the process of getting on or off the transport concerned) provided by air, sea, inland waterways, rail, or road carriers, or any stay in a hotel, our maximum liability will be limited to the maximum amount payable by the carrier or the hotel keeper under the applicable international convention, treaty, or regulation governing the travel arrangements or hotel stay (e.g., the Warsaw Convention, the Montreal Convention for international travel by air, etc.).
If you purchase a package that includes flights and/or transfers, it is your responsibility to make all necessary arrangements and ensure that you allow sufficient time to board your flights or transfers. Should you miss your flight or transfer, please contact us immediately.
For packages that do not include flights or transfers, you are responsible for arranging your own transportation to the starting point of the tour. We will provide clear instructions on where and how to meet your tour group, manager, or guide. If, for any reason, you are unable to arrive at the starting point on time, please contact us as soon as possible. We will make every reasonable effort to assist you in making alternative arrangements to join your tour. However, you will be responsible for any additional costs incurred, and no refunds will be given for any unused services.
TOUR MANAGERS/DRIVERS/GUIDES:On our escorted group tours, you'll be accompanied by a professional tour manager, either with a guide or a driver and a guide, who is an expert on the destination and is responsible for ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all travelers, as well as the smooth operation of the tour. The tour manager’s decisions are final on all matters that may impact the safety or wellbeing of those participating in the trip.
GROUP PARTICIPATION:On our group tours, you’ll usually be traveling with a group of fellow travelers, and while this can be an enriching experience, it can also present challenges, especially in a foreign country. To ensure a positive experience for all participants, we reserve the right to reject or remove any traveler whose behavior is deemed incompatible with the group. If you fail to comply with a decision made by our tour manager, behave in a way that causes or is likely to cause danger, distress, or material annoyance to others, disrupt the wellbeing or mobility of the group, or are considered disruptive to the group, at the sole discretion of Pause & Be Travel and/or our tour managers and representatives, we may ask you to leave the tour. In such cases, we will not refund any portion of the package cost, and all expenses incurred due to the termination of the tour are your responsibility. We may also choose not to allow you on any future trips.
AGE REQUIREMENTS:For most of our tours and packages, you must be 18 years or older to make a booking, and any travelers on your booking must be 8 years or older at the time of travel. Some packages may have different age requirements; please refer to the specific package page or contact us for details. Travelers under 18 years of age at the time of travel are considered minors and must be accompanied by an adult aged 22 or older. One adult may accompany up to two minors. The adult accompanying the minor(s) is jointly and individually responsible for their behavior, wellbeing, supervision, and monitoring. If the consent of a parent, guardian, or other responsible person is required by law for a minor to travel, it is the responsibility of the accompanying adult to secure all necessary consents, documents, and approvals to ensure that both the adult and minor(s) meet all legal requirements to travel and to enter and depart from applicable countries and regions. We are not responsible for any fees, damages, or losses resulting from failure to obtain necessary consents, permits, or approvals.
TRAVELERS WITH DISABILITIES OR DIFFICULTIES:Travelers requiring any type of special assistance must inform us of their needs at the time of booking. We will make reasonable efforts to accommodate such requirements and will notify our airline and other partners accordingly. However, we cannot guarantee that all disabilities or needs can be fully accommodated, especially in foreign countries or remote locations. Thailand are generally not equipped to handle wheelchairs. Due to the nature of our itineraries, we cannot accept travelers who require service animals. We regret that we are unable to provide individual assistance to travelers with walking, dining, entering and exiting motor coaches, ships, and other transportation vehicles, or with other personal needs. Travelers who require such assistance must be accompanied by a qualified companion who is a paid traveler.
Our itineraries often include sightseeing and activities that may involve strenuous activities, such as hiking, walking up steps or over uneven surfaces, ascending to high elevations, or traveling in small boats. Travel conditions in Thailand may be more challenging than what you are accustomed to. It is the responsibility of all travelers to assess their own physical abilities, consult with appropriate medical professionals, and determine if they are in sufficient condition to comfortably participate in the activities included in the itinerary. If you are uncertain, please contact us to discuss further.
If, during your travels, our representatives determine that your physical health or mental condition may pose a risk to your safety or the safety of others, they may request that you refrain from participating in certain activities. In extreme cases, we or our representatives may ask you to leave the tour. In such instances, we will make reasonable efforts to assist you in reaching the appropriate airport or other departure point; however, you will be responsible for any costs incurred. No refunds will be provided for unused services.
By participating in our tour, you grant us and our representatives permission to address your situation, including discussing your physical health or mental condition and sharing relevant information with travel companions, family members, medical professionals, designated emergency contacts, or any other person we deem necessary to resolve such concerns, at our sole discretion. Please also refer to the "Emergency Medical Treatment" section for further details.
ACCEPTANCE OF RISK:You acknowledge that travel, particularly to foreign or remote destinations, may involve certain risks to your health and safety. The degree and nature of these risks depend on the specific products or services booked and the locations in which they operate. Activities such as ziplining, snorkeling, hot air balloon rides, carriage by watercraft, or travel to high altitudes, remote areas, or destinations with developing infrastructure may present a heightened level of personal risk.
Additionally, the standards of hygiene, accommodation, and transportation in some destinations may be lower than what you are accustomed to in your home country, which can increase the risk of food poisoning, illness, or injury. It is your responsibility to assess these risks and take necessary precautions when traveling.
By booking with us, you acknowledge that you have considered the potential risks, dangers, and challenges associated with travel, as well as your own personal capabilities and needs, and you assume full responsibility for such risks. You agree to take all reasonable precautions to ensure your safety while traveling, including, but not limited to, the proper use of safety devices (such as seatbelts, harnesses, flotation devices, and helmets) and adherence to all posted signs and verbal or written safety warnings.
In the absence of negligence on our part, Pause & Be Travel and our representatives will not be held liable for any claims, losses, damages, injuries, or death resulting from your failure to comply with safety instructions or warnings, or from the inherent risks of travel and adventurous activities included in our itineraries or otherwise provided by us or our representatives.
EMERGENCY MEDICAL TREATMENT:In the event of a medical emergency that prevents you from providing consent for necessary treatment, we or our representatives will make reasonable efforts to contact your travel companions or designated emergency contact to seek permission for the required care. However, if our representatives determine, at their sole discretion, that the situation does not allow for such communication, you authorize them to consent on your behalf to any medical treatment deemed necessary. This may include medical examinations, diagnoses, medication, treatment, or care administered under the supervision of a licensed physician or surgeon.
By booking with us, you agree not to hold us or our representatives liable for any decisions made or actions taken regarding such medical or emergency treatment.
BAGGAGE & PERSONAL EFFECTS:In general, our tours and packages allow the following per person:
Certain packages may have different or additional restrictions imposed by airlines, motor coaches, ships, safari vehicles, or other modes of transport. We will provide you with specific baggage allowance details at least 7 days prior to departure.
If your baggage exceeds the allowed limits, you may incur excess baggage charges, which will be assessed by the airline. Similarly, if transport services (e.g., pre-booked transfers) are exceeded in capacity due to excessive or oversized luggage, we reserve the right to cancel the transfer, or you may be required to pay extra for changing to a larger vehicle or adding an additional vehicle.
Please note that you are responsible for safeguarding your luggage, camera, and other personal belongings, including any items purchased while on tour. We are not responsible for lost or stolen personal items. For luggage or personal items damaged by our airline partners, it is your responsibility to file a baggage claim form before leaving the airport, typically in the baggage claim area.
LOCAL PURCHASES:We make every effort to provide opportunities for you to browse local markets, shops, and stores, time permitting. Some itineraries include scheduled stops at specialty stores, factories, or other destinations where you can observe demonstrations of local crafts or purchase merchandise.
If you decide to purchase any items during your tour, whether at markets, shops, or itinerary destinations, you are solely responsible for those purchases. We are not responsible for the quality, authenticity, or condition of any items you buy. It is advisable to comparison-shop and thoroughly inspect all merchandise before leaving the location, as most places do not allow returns or exchanges.
Please note that prices may not include shipping/handling fees or customs charges. Additionally, we are not responsible for the delivery, tracking, or receipt of any items you purchase while traveling.
LOCAL LAWS:During travel, you must always comply with the laws and regulations of all places visited. Committing any illegal act may result in your removal from a tour and put you at risk of fines or punishment by local authorities, for which we cannot be held responsible.
In addition to legal requirements, it is important to respect local customs, norms, and traditions. Different countries may have cultural practices that are not the same as those in your home country. For example, in Thailand, it is customary to remove shoes before entering someone's home or certain temples, dress modestly when visiting religious sites, and refrain from touching the head of an adult (as the head is considered sacred). Public displays of affection may also be frowned upon in some areas. We encourage you to familiarize yourself with these norms to ensure that your actions do not inadvertently cause offense or disrupt the local culture.
By adhering to both legal regulations and cultural norms, you will help create a positive travel experience for yourself and others while showing respect to the communities you visit.
Travelers with passports from countries other than those typically exempt should determine the passport, visa, identification, and entry requirements that apply to them when entering Thailand and Laos. These requirements are subject to change, sometimes without prior notice, and we strongly recommend verifying the specific entry requirements with the relevant embassy or consulate.
It is ultimately the responsibility of each traveler to understand and comply with all entry requirements, including obtaining and carrying the necessary travel documents and paying any applicable Entry & Exit Fees. We will not be held responsible for any trip interruptions, cancellations, or costs incurred due to failure to comply with these requirements.
Please ensure that you have thoroughly checked all entry requirements before purchasing any tours or making a booking with us. While we strive to provide the most current information on our website, it is always advisable to confirm details directly with the relevant authorities.
PASSPORTS:In general, passports are required for most international travel. Your passport should be valid for at least six months beyond your planned return date (some destinations may require a longer validity period), or you may be denied entry. Additionally, some countries require a specific number of blank visa pages in your passport.
The names of all travelers must be provided to us exactly as they appear on their passport, including any titles (e.g., Jr. or Sr.) and multiple first, middle, or last names. Failure to correct any discrepancies before travel could result in being denied boarding or entry into certain countries, and may require the purchase of new airfare.
For certain packages, we require color copies of each traveler’s passport photo/signature page. These must be submitted as soon as possible, either with your booking or by the time of final payment, whichever comes first. Failure to provide this promptly may result in the cancellation of your booking.
TRAVEL VISAS & OTHER DOCUMENTS:Travel visas are required for many countries included in our packages. Some destinations may also require proof of immunization against certain diseases. Additionally, minors (children under the age of 18) traveling without both parents, with only one parent, or with a parent of a different surname may be required to provide additional documentation. All travelers are responsible for determining the visa requirements that apply to them, including any specific documentation needed for entry.
ENTRY & EXIT FEES:Some countries, airports, or ports may require the payment of entry or exit fees, border crossing fees, or other taxes upon arrival or departure. These fees must be paid directly by the traveler and are not included in our package prices. You are responsible for the payment of these fees. In some cases, these fees may be paid by credit card, but in others, they may only be payable in Thai Baht (THB) or other local currencies. We are not responsible for any omissions or errors if you have not received information from us regarding these fees.
When making a booking, we require certain personal information. Additionally, when you use our website (https://www.pauseandbetravel.com), sign up for our newsletter, request a catalog, or engage with us in other ways, we may collect additional information, as outlined in our Privacy Policy. By using our website, booking travel with us, or submitting any personal information, you acknowledge and accept the terms of our Privacy Policy.
REQUIRED INFORMATION:To make a booking, we require certain personal information, including the full legal name, gender, birthdate, and passport details for each traveler, as required by law and to enable us and our suppliers to provide the travel products and services you have purchased. We also need contact details, including address, phone number, and email address, from the person making the booking. For all other travelers, except minors living at the same address, we request a phone number and email address to ensure we can contact you and your companions in case of last-minute itinerary changes or emergencies. Additionally, we require the name and contact information of a designated emergency contact who is not traveling with you. You are responsible for verifying that the information you provide for yourself and on behalf of other travelers is complete and accurate. We will not be liable for any errors or omissions in the information you provide or any fees or damages resulting from such errors or omissions.
